Marblehead Little Theatre Announces Non-Equity Auditions for The Great Gatsby: An American Musical

Marblehead Little Theatre is thrilled to announce non-Equity auditions for the world premiere of The Great Gatsby: An American Musical.

Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s beloved classic, with book and lyrics by Fred Anthony Marco and music by Frank Schiro, see this all new musical come to life on stage. Relive the story of this classic American novel: visit the dazzling coastal reaches of New York, the “Eggs” of Long Island, during the days of excess and glamor of 1922. For more information on the work, please visit https://gatsbyamericanmusical.com. This premiere will be produced by Andrew Barnett, Steve Black and Doug Hill, and directed by Alexandra Dietrich, and will run June 23 through July 2.

Auditions will be held Sunday, April 16 from 1:00-4:00 pm and Monday, April 17 from 5:30-8:30 pm. Actors should sign-up for a singing time slot and be prepared to attend a dance call only if asked to attend callbacks. For the dance call, actors should bring appropriate shoes and attire. A short combination in the style of the show will be taught. Please prepare a verse and a chorus of a song in the style of the show. Sheet music should be brought to the audition and an accompanist will be provided.

Callbacks will be held the evening of April 18 starting at 7:00 pm. A more specific time window will be announced if a callback is offered. Auditions and callbacks will take place at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School St., Marblehead, MA.
