New Minister to Preach at UU Church of Marblehead
The Unitarian-Universalist Church of Marblehead will be welcoming its new, young, and vibrant minister to its pulpit on Sunday, September 11, at 10:30 AM where she will give the first sermon of the church year.
Reverend Jenna Crawford, 29, believes that community action has the power to be a life-saving and planet-saving force at a time when the world is refusing to face the climate crisis that threatens us all. Reverend Crawford’s impatience with unjust systems, her belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, her enthusiasm for non-dogmatic spiritual growth, her devotion to the democratic process, and her ability to listen and respond to congregational concerns made her the perfect choice for a multi-racial church that welcomes congregants of all races, religions and gender identities.
Jenna Crawford previously served as an intern at the First Parish in Needham; Marblehead will be her first placement as senior minister. She is a graduate of Hamilton College and received her Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology. In her free time, Rev. Crawford, a former outdoor educator and trip leader, can be found enjoying nature. The church is situated at 28 Mugford St.
