Richard James Passes Away at 66

Richard M “Richie” James - age 66, passed away in Marblehead on September 27, 2022. Born on September 26, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the middle son of the late Richard “Dick” and Margaret (Morgan) James of Marblehead and Stuart, Fl.

He graduated from Marblehead High School in 1975 and spent his career in the airline industry, starting at Northwest in Boston, then in Minneapolis for over 20 years.

Richie was passionate about sports and played football in high school and college, and was active in softball and golf as an adult.

He was a cherished friend to many, a caring and dedicated father to Ashley and Jonathan, and loving brother to Bill and Peter. He is survived by several cousins, a niece and nephews. 

Visiting hours  will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Eustis & Cornell of Marblehead, 142 Elm Street. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Reception to follow at the Masonic Temple from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
