Me&Thee Presents Oshima Brothers of Maine

Me&Thee Music presents an evening with Maine-based indie duo Oshima  Brothers on Friday, November 4 beginning at 8:00pm. Sean and Jamie have  been creating music together since childhood. Now, the brothers blend songs  from the heart with close harmonies to produce a "roots-based pop sound that  is infectious,” according to NPR. On stage, they are known for their dynamic  vocals, live looping, foot percussion, electric and acoustic guitars, vintage  keyboard and bass - often all at once.  

The Oshima Brothers were on stage at the Me&Thee before the pandemic  forced the closure of the venue in March, 2020, in the midst of its 50th  anniversary season. This concert marks the success of the Me&Thee’s  reorganization and return. 

The Oshimas, whose music videos on YouTube have attracted more than a  quarter million views, say they want every show to feel like a deep breath, a  dance party and a sonic embrace. Maine Public Radio’s Sara Willis describes  their songs as “beautiful, those brother harmonies can’t be beat. They are  uplifting and, let’s face it, we need uplifting these days.” 

The Oshima Brothers have been eager to play for live audiences again and to  share their new album, Dark Nights Golden Days, which is also the title of their  first film, which premiered earlier this fall in Cambridge to a local as well as  national online audience

Me&Thee Music is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization now in its  53rd season at 28 Mugford Street in Marblehead. Refreshments are served
