Opening at Marblehead UU Church

There will be a celebration of Mark MacKay’s painting and pottery at the Marblehead Unitarian-Universalist church’s Stetson Gallery at noon on Sunday, May 28th.

MacKay is a graduate of the Mass College of Art, where he studied graphic design and worked in multimedia. While living in Seattle he worked with Pacific North West national parks designing trail guides and educational material. Before moving to Marblehead in 2022, he had his own studio in Newburyport, where he worked in acrylics, clay dishes, and sculpture. His paintings are inspired by his time in the woods and living by the ocean and offer comforting images in the story of home.

Refreshments will be served. Everyone is invited.
