I’m so proud to be supporting Diann Slavit Baylis for State Representative

I’m so proud to be supporting Diann Slavit Baylis for State Representative because of the priorities she is fighting for, in particular her commitment to civil rights and equality.  I first met Diann at a rally at the Marblehead Community Center protesting the overturning of Roe v. Wade. It was at this event that I realized how passionate she is for social justice. My greatest motive is creating a world where everyone can be happy and safe, and Diann stood out to me as a person who could accomplish this.  When we raised the pride flag at Abbott Hall, I was the student speaker, and Diann was there, standing up for equality for the LGBTQ+ community. This confirmed what I already knew; Diann is a champion for equality and will stand up for our rights in the State House.

Our civil rights are very much at risk in this country, and we need a leader in the State House who will fight for civil rights and equality for every resident of this district.  We need a leader who knows how to build coalitions and force the action on Beacon Hill. Diann will get every job done. She is a no-nonsense person who won’t tolerate any kind of injustice. 

I believe that Diann is the kind of leader we need, so much so that I’ve spent my summer interning on Diann’s campaign for State Representative. Diann not only has the passion and skills, but she is also an avid listener to our community concerns. She supported me when I was frustrated and depressed about the lack of DEI services in Marblehead, and for that, I am completely grateful. Diann won’t give up on this fight, and I hope you will join me in supporting Diann as the best candidate to represent us in state government.
