I can't go another moment, Lena, without telling you what a spectacular job you did with Tammy's profile; it was quite extraordinary. Your writing is exquisite---and this from someone who is uber critical and thinks most competent writing is dead.
Your story was by turns lyrical and empathic, and captured in such a thoughtful way the life that has been Tammy's, Tammy herself, and the deeply felt philosophies by which she copes with and connects in so many levels with life and other people.
Truly, one the most beautiful pieces of writing I have read in a long time.
