Two Candidates Named as Finalists for Interim Superintendent

The Marblehead School Committee released a press release today, September 28, 2023, announcing that the Interim Superintendent Screening Committee has chosen two candidates as finalists. 

These candidates–Dr. Theresa McGuinness and Dr. Jannell D. Pearson-Campbell–will be interviewed by the School Committee during public session on Monday, October 2, 2023 in the Marblehead High School library. 

McGuinness currently serves as assistant superintendent for the Watertown public schools and formerly served as the principal of the Marblehead Village School from 2012 through 2016. She was also a finalist during the previous superintendent search process during which John Buckey was ultimately selected for the role. Her resume is available HERE.

Pearson-Campbell most recently served as the interim superintendent of Northampton public schools and before that as the assistant superintendent for teaching and learning for the Old Rochester Regional School District. Her resume is available HERE.
